COLLABORATION PERSEVERANCE INITIATIVE & SKILLSDuring the week, I had been thinking of what experience to write about for my first CAS reflection, and when I least expected it, an opportunity presented itself. One of my brother's friends asked me for a favor. He invited me to help him create a dessert for his Innovation Academy business course. The intention was to create the cheapest buyable product, that was profitable and delicious at the same time. We had to take in consideration that the product would be sold in school. The product was initially called bites, and it was going to be a donut-shaped cinnamon roll. However, I suggested him to create Nutella truffles because the preparation process was easier and oriented towards the tastes of the customers. We found a recipe, and I modified it. Once the recipe was made, we went shopping for materials. Then we started cooking the dessert collaboratively. It wasn't easy making the truffles because the chocolate we bought was solid, and it didn't melt quickly. We also purchased too little chocolate, so we had to go out and buy more. After four hours of work, we were finished making the Nutella truffles. They tasted incredible. Once the process was completed, I knew that it was an experience to write about, thus I proceeded to do so. For a first creativity, action and service reflection, I think it went pretty well; and I must say that I am excited to embark in this journey through my future cas experiences.
