Trust, something hard to achieve, easy to loose, and almost impossible to repair. Why is it hard trusting people? are we afraid to be let down? How do we trust the unknown? Trust is all about being reliable, showing integrity and being open to those you promise to be. It's not about denying second chances, however its about giving them to those whom have proven worthy of deserving. Honesty is the key to a trusting relationship, weather it's at work, home or friendships, being truthful will show those who you relate to that you are one to rely on. Today the innovation academy got together as a whole group, and for the first time we were able to have a class-like experience. We got through the day creating team building activities and learning more about trust within the classroom. I had the chance to see how a trustworthy school environment can foment positive attitude in class, and how trust relationships begin by getting to know one another. I had a great time learning more about my fellow IA members, and look forward to increasing our trust bonds through the course of the years we will be working together.

Frances, I'm happy to hear that you were able to take away relevant ideas from the retreat. Trust is indeed a central aspect in every community and organization. It will be no different in the IA; we will all need to hold ourselves accountable and be there for one another.
